In 1975, Cy Twombly turned a villa in Bassano in Teverina into a private sanctuary where his work could "sediment" away from the world. Today, the palazzo remains a place of profound stillness, where the artist’s presence is still woven into the architecture.
Valentino Pre-Fall 2026 campaign shot by Johnny Dufort activates this history, echoing a 1968 Vogue shoot where Henry Clarke photographed Valentino Garavani’s "white collection" in Twombly's Roman apartment. Rather than a simple tribute, this campaign explores persistence and continuity. It treats the past not as a static archive, but as a living trace that refracts into the present, creating new possibilities of meaning through the intersection of fashion and art.
