Starting July 9th, 2026, Louis Vuitton’s latest material innovation, Silk Tech, is found at select stores worldwide, comprising ready-to-wear pieces, bags and luggage, travel essentials, footwear, and accessories.
Â
Silk Tech was introduced throughout the Louis Vuitton Autumn Winter 2026 Menswear runway show, held in Paris January 20th, as part of the collection designed by Creative Director Pharrell Williams. Envisioning a future that positions cutting-edge industrial advances in an enduring wardrobe, the achievement of Silk Tech integrates impeccably with the craftsmanship for which the House has built its legacy.
Â
Fusing performance of the highest technical standing with timeless sensorial elegance, the twill-woven hybrid of silk and reclaimed nylon features water-repellent, anti-fraying, crease-resistant, and lightweight properties, with a unique sheen and silken feel. Visually, it is easily mistaken for supple leather.
Â
Louis Vuitton Silk Tech is unprecedented and yet reads as an early hallmark of the House’s globetrotting legacy. Reinterpreting the resilience-to-weight ratio and incredible strength of early 20th century silk parachutes and hot air balloons, it combines mechanical feat with textural appeal. Following in the footsteps of these gravity-defying inventions, Silk Tech evolves silk by weaving it with nylon, allowing for an even stronger, super-refined structure.
