Founded by CHANEL in 2021 in Paris, le19M is a unique initiative that brings together nearly 700 passionate artisans and experts in fashion and decoration. The venue also houses la Galerie du 19M, an open space dedicated to transmitting and showcasing artisans’ unique skills in dialogue with guest creatives.
From 30 September to 20 October 2025, le19M is travelling from Paris to take up residence in the very heart of Tokyo, on the 52nd floor of the Mori Tower. Visitors of all ages will be amazed by the richness of both Japanese and French heritage and the modernity of their contemporary interpretations.
la Galerie du 19M Tokyo is a new milestone in the history that connects CHANEL and Japan, built on respect, mutual admiration, and shared inspiration. While Japanese aesthetics have permeated many collections since the time of Gabrielle Chanel, the Maison has also paid homage to Japan through multiple landmark events, from its first fashion show in Tokyo in 1978, to its first Métiers d’art show abroad, at the Ginza flagship, in 2004.

Conceived as a space of wonder, surprise, and dialogue, la Galerie du 19M Tokyo offers a free inspiring and playful journey open to all, in three chapters: le Festival, a monumental installation introducing the unique savoir-faire of le19M’s Maisons d’art, designed by ATTA agency - Atelier Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, led by renowned architect Tsuyoshi Tane.
Beyond Our Horizons, an immersive exhibition gathering creations by close to 30 Japanese and French artisans and artists — several of which have been created in collaboration with the Maisons d’art of le19M — and curated by five creative figures: Momoko Ando, Yoichi Nishio, Shinichiro Ogata, Kayo Tokuda and Aska Yamashita.
Lesage. 100 years of Fashion and Decoration, a retrospective for the 100th anniversary of the embroidery and weaving House, unveiling its most impressive creations. Faithful to its vocation of transmission, notably through gesture and practice, la Galerie du 19M Tokyo invites visitors to a series of conversations, artisanal demonstrations, and creative hands-on workshops for all ages.
