LEO MANDELLA x YAKOSAKA777

A new era in Japanese denim begins with Yakosaka 777, a Tokyo-conceived and London-amplified label founded by the veterans behind the internationalisation of Evisu. Combining rare technical mastery, managed scarcity and subcultural energy, the brand launched Drop 1 on 24th September 2026.

For its inaugural release, Yakosaka 777 has partnered with London creator and DJ Leo Mandella, who has transformed the pocket into an interactive canvas using temperature-sensitive thermochromic inks. Applied to a highly limited micro-run of Drop 1 denim, Mandella’s exclusive custom pocket reacts to body heat and ambient warmth, shifting dynamically from signal red at room temperature to vibrant yellow when warmed past 30°C. This combination of technical craft and Leo’s creative direction transforms the pocket beyond a fixed brand stamp into a living piece of subcultural expression.
