Many people might recognise Thor: Love and Thunder but may not know about your modelling career and other passions. Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your journey? (from growing up on a sailboat in Asia to being a model and actress represented by agencies across three continents?)
Hi, I’m Tatyana. I was homeschooled while sailing around Asia on a boat that my family still lives on! I was scouted while on holiday in Sydney and have since travelled to London, Paris, and Japan. I’m currently signed with Chapter in the UK and Ford in New York.
Being part of such an iconic film franchise like Thor is huge! What was that experience like, and did it shape your goals in acting or even modelling in any way?
Thor was an insane experience! I had actually just started acting a few months before landing that part, which felt very surreal. It definitely enhanced my drive and hunger, working with such an amazing director and actors I look up to.

You’re also a Pilates instructor! How do you balance this passion with your modelling and acting work? Do you find that Pilates enhances your focus and resilience in your other careers?
Pilates is a great grounding practice for me. I do it in my spare time and love sharing my passion for a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Having a healthy body and mind is so important, especially working in such fluctuating industries.
With agencies in the US, UK, and Australia, how do you navigate the different modelling markets? Do you notice cultural differences in fashion and modelling expectations across these regions?
Each market is very different, I’ve found. I think it’s about finding your niche within each market. The US and UK tend to have a stronger influence in high fashion, beauty, and editorial, while Australia leans more towards a commercial market.
Could you share how you first got into modelling? Was it something you always wanted to pursue, or did it happen unexpectedly?
I was scouted while at dinner with my mum in Sydney. I’m from Perth (the other side of Australia) and was there for a weekend away! It was quite unexpected, but everything took off from there.
Who are some designers, brands, or fellow models that have inspired your work in the industry?
This is a hard one! I feel like I’m inspired by different people for different reasons. Christy Turlington and Kate Moss, of course, are absolute icons. As for brands, there are so many! Classics like The Row, Céline, and YSL are among my favourites.
Do you have a favourite experience from a photoshoot, film set, or runway that stands out? What made it memorable?
So many! I’d have to say my time on Thor was the most memorable as acting is my absolute favourite thing. It was my first taste of it, and I was able to learn so much!
How would you describe your personal style outside of work? Are there any staple pieces or trends you gravitate towards?
Outside of work, I’d describe my style as elevated casual, if that makes sense! I’m a big jeans and trousers girl—I’m a sucker for baggy jeans and a good pair of trainers.

How do you stay prepared for shoots and shows? Any beauty or wellness rituals that you swear by?
I have a very basic skincare routine, and I believe beauty comes from the inside out, so I try to eat well as often as I can. My biggest skincare tip is drinking lots of water. I’m a huge runner and try to get a run in most days, even if it’s just 20 minutes. I also practise reformer Pilates a few times a week when possible!
