This series was visually inspired by the time photographer Phillip Papadis spent snorkelling around the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and around Apo Island in the Philippines. "I’ve always been drawn to the way light behaves underwater, especially how it refracts, shifts, and creates those shimmering tones across the skin. I asked the makeup artist - Karissa McLaren - and stylist - Sarah White - to take cues from those colours and textures and draw from their own experiences of being in the ocean — coral tones, ocean water, iridescent hues, the ethereal feeling of floating in the ocean — and interpret them in their own way to bring that feeling into a beauty and fashion context."
