Ever since we spotted Bingbing Liu during the Miu Miu Cruise 2019 show, this IMG girl has been rocking the runways of designers all over the world. This year we’ve seen her at Elie Saab, Akris and Chloé to name a few, with the absolute highlights of Jacquemus and Chanel. Only adding to this impressive curriculum vitae are stunning editorials, portraying her striking features. It is her dream to represent Asian models across the globe and it is indeed high time that we got to know Bingbing a little better.

You have done incredibly well during the past Resort and Haute Couture shows, walking the catwalks of Chanel, Miu Miu, Elie Saab and the Jacquemus anniversary show, amongst others.
What is your experience of doing shows? Are you looking forward to the September show season?
I was a little nervous, but very excited and honored to be able to walk those shows. I expect to see
myself with more possibilities in the new season and I am looking forward to what lies ahead.
What would your absolute dream job look like?
One where I am able to represent Asian models within the industry and across the globe.
What is the best part of modelling to you?
Working with so many different talented people from all over the world.
If you could switch to another profession within the fashion industry for a day, what would you do?
I would love to become a designer and make my dream dress! It seems like a lot of fun to design,
and I’d love for other people to be able to wear what I have made.
Where are you based, and which of your personal favourite hotspots would you recommend for a weekend away there?
I am based in Shanghai. You must visit the Long Museum when you’re there, it’s something special.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A dance teacher.
What are your aspirations outside of modelling?
Film and TV, acting, travelling and sports – swimming is my favourite!
What do you do to unwind?
I listen to music and I travel. I love seeing new cities.
When do you feel like the best version of yourself?
I am at my best when walking the runway - I feel particularly focused at that moment. It’s a very
unique feeling and there’s nothing like it.
