ZIMMERMANN SS24

Updated: Oct 3, 2023

Zimmermann Spring Summer 2024 Collection. Paris, 02 October 2023

Zimmermann's Spring Summer 2024 collection celebrates the natural world's beauty. At

Paris's Palais de Tokyo, guests appreciated the vibrant hues, airy textures and graceful

movement of each look before it floated down the runway.

As creative director Nicky Zimmermann said, "For Spring 2024, we were inspired by the

simple beauty of nature through various art forms. For key collection prints, we were drawn

to the lovely, unexpected colour combinations of abstract landscape colourists and mixed

these with the more scientific mood of classic botanist art against clean white backdrops.

We also explored the visual symmetry that is found in nature and looked to 3D naturalist

sculptures for inspiration in creating detail, shape, and movement. The collection direction

is clean and fresh, with a strong expression of colour, sculptural silhouettes, and a variety of

textures. All taking their cues from expressions of our natural surroundings."

This season refines Zimmermann's romantic, feminine aesthetic. Floral prints and

embellishments elevate familiar motifs. Soft pastels ground the collection, while pops of

fiery red inject joy. The intimate venue let guests examine each detail before the dress took

on an ethereal lightness gliding down the catwalk. Zimmermann showcased nature's beauty

up close.

As always, Zimmermann blended reverie with reality. Special yet wearable pieces invoke the

imagination. While appearing effortless on the runway, meticulous craftsmanship shone

through. The collection came alive with natural elements. Delicate floral prints, laser-cut blossoms

and fluttering 3D tendrils evoked nature's essence. Draped necklines and asymmetrical

hems emulated organic silhouettes. Ombré silks in pastel hues mirrored dreamy landscapes.

Breezy shirting, crisp poplin and leather nodded to urban practicality.

The colour palette reflected the nature theme. Powder blue, pink, lemon and mint

contrasted with vibrant red. Sculptural floral appliqués adorned dresses. Backless silk

organza gowns floated by ethereally.

Ultimately, the collection balanced Zimmermann's feminine aesthetic with fresh versatility.

While Paris represents Haussmannian grandeur, Zimmermann conjured rugged natural

vistas, from Parisian gardens to Australian wilds, for an enchanting escape.
