Uma Wang’s  Spring Summer 2025 collection once again took centre stage in the breathtaking setting of the American Cathedral in Paris, a venue that matched the ethereal, yet grounded, nature of the collection itself. With a focus on radical reduction and simplicity as complexity resolved, Wang presented a collection that felt effortlessly poetic, echoing Constantin Brâncusi’s mastery of form.

The floral prints on dresses provided a soft contrast to the otherwise neutral palette of beige, white, brown, and black. These prints brought a delicate, organic touch to the oversized silhouettes that dominated the runway. The fluid, asymmetrical cuts added an air of avant-garde refinement, allowing the garments to move gracefully with the body, almost as if the fabric was floating. Oversized blazers and trousers made a striking appearance, offering genderless appeal with their relaxed, androgynous fit — pieces equally suitable for men.

The accessories were just as noteworthy, particularly the rectangular glasses, which stood out with their bold, geometric lines. These unique eyewear pieces gave the collection an intellectual edge, offering a modern twist to the otherwise timeless aesthetic.

The materials used throughout the collection were another highlight, showcasing Uma Wang’s mastery of textures. Waxed and washed fabrics provided both weight and lightness, creating silhouettes that felt simultaneously structured and fluid. Jacquard fabrics, used in reverse, added complexity and depth to the pieces, while earthy tones ranging from gesso to tobacco enveloped the collection in a soothing, natural palette.

Uma Wang’s Spring Summer 2025 collection was a masterclass in refined minimalism, where every gesture and line served a purpose, creating garments that were not only beautiful but also deeply thoughtful. It was an exploration of form, space, and the body, executed with quiet confidence and sophistication.
