A sanctuary where nature and luxury coexist
In 2017, after more than two decades of travelling to Bali, Canadian Businessman Dino Magnatta had a vision: to build his dream retirement home on the island he loved. By July 2020, that dream became a reality. Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort was born: an eco-conscious paradise designed to exist in perfect harmony with Bali’s breathtaking natural landscape.

Tucked away in the lush surroundings of Bali’s Kaba Kaba village, Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort is more than just a resort — it’s an experience in sustainability and luxury. Located just 30 minutes from both Ubud and Canggu, Ulaman blends seclusion with accessibility, offering guests an escape into nature without sacrificing modern comfort.

At Ulaman, guests are treated with a rare and genuine hospitality. The staff don’t simply offer service — they create meaningful connections, ensuring every detail of your stay feels personal and thoughtfully considered. Whether it’s a friendly greeting upon arrival or a tailored recommendation for your next adventure, it’s this effortless hospitality that makes you feel like part of the Ulaman family. The team here genuinely cares — and it shows in every smile, every conversation, and every quiet kindness.
Designed by the visionary Inspiral Architecture and Design Studios, Ulaman elevates resort design to new heights, both literally and metaphorically. Think elegant bamboo structures that curve toward the sky, dreamy open-air interiors, and the peaceful backdrop of a cascading waterfall. Every element is built with sustainability at its core — from locally sourced bamboo and rammed-earth walls to a hydro-powered energy system that keeps the resort running with minimal environmental impact.
From the outside, Ulaman appears almost like a well-kept secret. The entrance is discreet, but the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by calm. Open-air spaces, lush greenery, and the soothing hum of nature make it feel like another world entirely.

The villas are pure bliss. Picture yourself sinking into a plush bed, soaking in an outdoor tub surrounded by jungle, and enjoying thoughtful extras like handmade bath salts and welcome treats. At night, the nearby waterfall becomes your lullaby, and in the morning, powerful rain showers provide the perfect wake-up call.
At Ulaman, every meal is a delight. You can enjoy fresh tropical fruit, rich Balinese coffee, and an artful blend of traditional and modern cuisine. The Nasi Goreng — a beloved Indonesian fried rice dish — is a guest favourite: flavourful, comforting, and exactly what you need after a long day of adventure.

No stay at Ulaman is complete without a visit to the spa. There’s nothing quite like plunging into an ice-cold pool beside the river after a humid day. Pair it with a traditional Balinese massage, and you have a rejuvenating experience you won’t soon forget. And it only gets better. By the end of 2025, Ulaman will expand with 17 new villas, including one- and two-bedroom options.
Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort is more than just a place to stay; it’s a sanctuary where nature and luxury coexist in perfect harmony. With its inspired design, deep-rooted sustainability, and heartfelt hospitality, Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort offers a transformative experience — one that lingers long after you leave.
