UGG x JW ANDERSON

Southern California-based brand UGG and British designer Jonathan Anderson, join forces to transform familiar icons into fashion objects where proportion, construction, and the unexpected converge. UGG is rooted in the feeling of confidence and comfort that exists within the rituals of everyday life, while JW Anderson has a long-standing interest in taking familiar things somewhere else. The result is a collaboration and campaign, featuring musician and producer Dev Hynes, celebrates the beauty found in simple, quiet, everyday moments. Available from October 15th, the unisex collection brings iconic UGG silhouettes, the Classic Boot and Tasman, into the intellectually playful, culturally curious, and highly considered world of JW Anderson.

“UGG boots are instantly recognizable, and I was interested in seeing something so familiar through the lens of JW ANDERSON. For me, collaboration is about experimentation, bringing two distinct points of view together and seeing where that leads. We’ve explored the loafer extensively at JW ANDERSON, not only as footwear but also through their details applied to bags and ready-to-wear. Familiar yet unexpected, the collection is designed around the area that exists somewhere between the everyday and the dressed. Reinterpreting two UGG silhouettes through a loafer-inspired construction, the collection is comprised of two footwear styles: the UGG JW Anderson Loafer Boot and the UGG JW Anderson Loafer. A rounded toe and box-stitching introduce new lines to the familiar UGG forms, while signature UGG materials and cushioning retain their sense of comfort. Each style balances function with a distinctly unconventional point of view, inviting wearers to experience familiar silhouettes through a new lens.
