In an international portfolio of luxury hotels, true standouts are an exception. Following our recent stay, without hesitation, we can say that Conrad Tokyo left a lasting impression in our minds. Located in the heart of Minato ward, Conrad Tokyo effortlessly blends tradition with modernity. Situated within the Shiodome skyscraper, it offers more than just spectacular views, it delivers a stay elevated by exceptional hospitality and well crafted design.
With Shiodome Station at the base of the building and Shimbashi Station just a short walk away, Conrad Tokyo is perfectly positioned for easy access across Tokyo. The hotel is surrounded by a rich offering of cultural attractions, steps from historic landmarks like Shiba Park and Hama-rikyu Gardens, the renowned Toyosu Fish Market, and iconic destinations such as Tokyo Tower. The surrounding streets, frenetic with energy, are home to sophisticated restaurants and izakayas that attract Tokyo’s business elite, hinting at the refined experience that awaits within as you ascend to the hotel’s sky-high reception.
Occupying floors 28 to 37, of the Shiodome, Conrad Tokyo’s elevated setting guarantees breathtaking vistas of Tokyo Bay and beyond. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a soft, delicate aroma that matches the warm, genuine welcome that includes a portrait sculpture of Mr Conrad himself, setting the tone for your stay. It’s these thoughtful touches, small yet delivered with impact, that makes Conrad Tokyo stand apart. The attentive concierge team offers curated recommendations that reveal the city’s hidden gems and ensure an unforgettable visit.

The hotel’s design is an elegant blend of luxury and Japanese artistry. Featuring 291 rooms, including 68 suites, it fuses contemporary comfort with timeless and sophisticated design. The rooms showcase Japanese-inspired artworks and fabrics that lend a relaxing atmosphere. There is a rich choice of options. Whether choosing a King City Room, a Deluxe Twin, or the King Bay Pure Wellness option (a hypoallergenic room with a 7-step purification process and antibacterial surfaces), every detail points to Conrad’s commitment to excellence and guest wellbeing.
We stayed in Twin Suite Bay View, a magnificent twin-bed sanctuary overlooking Tokyo Bay. On clear days, the view stretches all the way to the coast, while at night, the city’s lights illuminate the city below. Conrad Tokyo understands the importance of well thought details, features such as adjoined rooms that include TVs for each guest, high-quality in-room sound systems, and strong internet access with Hilton Honors options that ensures a stay that caters to every need. From the convenience of your room, you can also relax in the private, spa-like setting of. your bathroom.
Guests who stay in the executive floor also can enjoy exclusive access to the Executive Lounge on the 37th floor, offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, gourmet snacks, expertly crafted cocktails, and business amenities to a backdrop of unforgettable skyline views.
Conrad's culinary experience is equally impressive. Guests can choose from four distinctive dining experiences: Cerise offers all-day dining which includes, soups, salads , sandwiches and steaks followed by a delicious selection of deserts. Collage serves contemporary French cuisine, while China Blue offers refined Chinese dishes with a modern twist, and Kazahana is a celebration of Japanese fine dining with sushi, kaiseki, and teppan delicacies. Our dinner at Collage was a standout, one of the finest we've experienced. The attentiveness of Head Chef Mr Kageyama made us feel thoroughly looked after.

At Twenty Eight the hotel’s bar and lounge, we were served a creative cocktail from a selection inspired by the surrounding artworks. The refreshing ‘Royal Lemon Sour’ crafted with sake and Champagne, was full of citrus flavours with the taste of Japan, which reflects a work entitled “Autumn Shiner” painted in warm golden hues evocative of the autumn season. The perfect addition to our meal.

Breakfast continues the hotel’s commitment to quality. The menu is thoughtfully curated, from the perfect eggs, crispy hash browns, and a delectable pain au chocolat, each item reflecting a “less is more” philosophy that signifies excellence.
Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, there is a chance for rejuvenation in Mizuki Spa & Fitness, located on the 29th floor, one of Tokyo’s largest spas. Here, a range of relaxing treatments awaits, offering guests a positive start before their next meeting or adventure or a tranquil reset at the end of a busy day.
Although every element of our stay exceeded expectations, it was the hotel’s hospitality that left the biggest impression. The staff are genuine, intuitive, and gracious, all true hallmarks of exceptional Japanese hospitality. While some hotels impress through grand gestures and a large assortment of amenities, Conrad Tokyo focuses on delivering consistent excellence through considered details. This mindful approach ensures that every moment feels intentional, impeccable, and truly unforgettable. It’s this philosophy that places the hotel amongst the top of Japan’s most exceptional luxury hotels. Conrad Tokyo is not only a destination for a calm stay in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic cities, this hotel is one that feels like a home from home, one we will return to, time and again, as a destination in itself.
